Whether your child is drawn to the elegance of Ballet or the boldness of Hip-Hop, Bethany’s Center for Dance offers a wide range of styles allowing dancers to explore different forms and discover their unique artistic expression.

Meet Bethany

Bethany earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Studies from Long Island University, C.W. Post, where she honed her craft as a member of the Post Concert Dance Company and the Post Dance Team. As part of the Dance Team, she performed at various events, including basketball and football games, pep rallies, and competitions. In the Concert Dance Company, Bethany had the opportunity to train with renowned choreographers from the Genesis Dance Company, Limon Dance Company, and Paul Taylor Dance Company. She also trained with famous dancers while performing in the Senior Showcase in Harlem for four consecutive years.

Throughout her college years, Bethany performed extensively across Long Island and Manhattan and participated in the American College Dance Festival all four years, showcasing her choreography. She culminated her academic career by receiving the prestigious “Outstanding Senior in Dance” award from C.W. Post.

Following graduation, Bethany shared her passion for dance through teaching in various dance studios across New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. With extensive experience in instructing students of all ages, she is proud to have been the owner of Bethany’s Center for Dance for over 10 years. Bethany takes great joy in imparting her love of dance to children, inspiring the next generation of dancers.

Meet the BCD Team

  • Rebecca Cimmino

    TEACHER

    Rebecca is a passionate dance teacher from Braintree, MA, with a background in competitive dancing. A graduate of Dean College, she has dedicated herself to teaching students of all ages, from preschoolers to adults. Specializing in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and strength & conditioning, Rebecca also focuses on leaps, turns, and jumps. As the ballet teacher for the Mini, Petite, and Junior competition teams, she loves inspiring dancers to grow both technically and creatively, helping them reach their full potential.

  • Lily Donohoe

    TEACHER

    Lily grew up as a competitive dancer in Pembroke, MA, attending competitions and events. She received her Bachelor of Science at the College of Charleston. While there, she was a choreographer and performer in the annual dance showcases. She also became a member of DanceFX Apprentice Company where she traveled the southeast coast performing at fairs, and other events. Lily has also worked as stage and award manager for local competitions. For the past four years, she has continued to share her love and passion for dance through teaching. She most recently performed in Mickey’s Frightfully Fun Spooktacular in Duxbury.

  • Lingo Kelleher

    ACRO TEACHER

    Mx. Lingo Kelleher (they/them/theirs) is a nonbinary dancer, choreographer, and visual artist; they are Acrobatic Arts certied and hold a BFA in Dance with a concentration in Choreography from Dean College. A self-proclaimed "swarm of excited bees", Lingo loves to spread their joy for dance, accessibility, and the arts wherever they go! They have been dancing for over a decade and have a background in acrobatics, ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and contemporary. While at Dean, Lingo choreographed and performed numerous pieces for an array of shows and performances in styles such as contemporary ballet, jazz, tap, ballet, and modern. 

  • Danielle Lawrence

    BALLET/POINTE TEACHER

    Danielle grew up dancing in CT primarily focusing on ballet and pointe. She has had amazing opportunities performing in the Nutcracker, as well as many other ballets throughout the years. Danielle finds joy in sharing her years of ballet knowledge, foundations, and technique with he students. She has been a teacher at BCD for over 10 years and when she’s not teaching she is a full time nurse.
